Traditional Norwegian craftsmanship and modern manufacturing

Jøtul's cast-iron stoves and fireplaces make use of traditional wood burning fireplaces and inserts as well as more modern natural gas stoves, gas fireplaces, and gas fireplace inserts. The company's design philosophy dates back more than a century, having manufactured wood stoves and fireplaces since 1853.

Jøtul claims to consider six elements of warmth, rather than just the typical dimensions of heating and coziness. According to Jøtul, these dimensions include: physical warmth, atmospheric warmth, visual, convenient, durable and sustainable warmth. The physical warmth attribute of Jøtul stoves and inserts includes the company's specialized clean burn technology (without using picky catalytic devices), comparatively high heating efficiency of over 70%, and the choice of either radiant or convected heat. Their atmospheric warmth philosophy includes such aspects as large flame viewing areas and glass that is resistant to fouling. The company's sustainable warmth philosophies include minimized smoke emissions, the use of recycled materials, and production facilities powered by hydroelectric sources.

Jøtul F 100 Nordic QT

The Jøtul F 100 Nordic QT is a wood-burning counterpart to the successful natural gas stove of the same name (Jotul GF 100 Nordic QT) which saw its European introduction in 2001. This stove makes use of non-catalytic clean-burning technology to recirculate exhaust gases so that they are fully burned away, dramatically reducing emissions as compared with conventional woodstoves. The dual effect of this system is that more heat stays in the room instead of being wasted, floating away out of your chimney. This stove's decorative iron latticework over the large glass viewing area is based on a Norwegian sweater pattern. With a heating output of 35,000 BTU / hour, the F 100 Nordic QT is capable of heating around 1,000 square feet with 8' ceilings.

Jøtul GF 400 DV Sebago

The Jøtul GF 400 DV Sebago is a highly efficient cast-iron natural gas stove that is capable of heating 1,500 square feet. It makes use of Jøtul's trademarked JøtulBurner to provide stunning similarity to a traditional wood flame. This burner technology, coupled with the hand-made ceramic fiber log set makes for a remarkably traditional stove/fireplace experience with the convenience and ease of use of natural gas.
